Use products that are free from sulfates and alcohol
Natural hair extensions don't have a natural oil source, so can be prone to drying out if not cared for properly. Products that contain sulfates and/or alcohol will speed up the drying process so are best avoided if you want to get the maximum life from your extensions. Our specially formulated extension shampoo is an ideal choice; follow up with an appropriate conditioner to further increase the life of your locks.
Ease up on the products
While natural human hair extensions can be styled however you please, products such as hair sprays, gels and waxes will leave a residue that will need to be washed out. The more you wash your extensions the faster they'll dry out (even with an appropriate shampoo) so try to minimise the amount of product you need to use when styling.
Brush with care
Taking time to brush your extensions properly will keep them looking their best for longer. Never brush them when wet, as this is when they're most susceptible to damage and shedding. When brushing, gather the hair together and start detangling from the bottom up, working your way towards the roots.
